The great Douglas Ruskoff had a contest to win an autographed copy of his new book.
Of course being the smart guy that I am, I won handily with a Nintendo entry.
Thanks to Doug for being cool and business innovation 2005 for having a cool contest. Can’t wait to read the book. I reccomend you all buy it.

Today I finally got my first real digital camera, a Canon Powershot SD400. I didn’t know much about digital cameras, so I got lots of advice from the Internet, especially from this Engadget story. There was also a Nikon Coolpix and a Panasonic I was considering, but the Canon was on sale on Newegg for a very good price.

You my remember the audioblog I made in June of last year. I can’t even remember what I said, and I really don’t want to listen to it again. When I came up with the idea I thought it was so great, but I didn’t feel to good when I actually recorded myself. But it appears now I have come full circle.

According to a friend, Neil Gaiman once spoke about people approaching him with ideas for books. To him, an idea for a book alone is worthless regardless of what the idea was. The only value is in the talent, skill, and, most importantly, the actual execution of the idea. People who come up with ideas and don’t execute them are what my roommate calls shit-talkers. A shit-talker is someone who doesn’t do anything, they just say shit.
