Towels are Awesome

Let me tell you a story about towels. Towels are awesome and useful. They are one of the few items that you use every single day of your life, if you wash yourself that is. And they are also one of the things I am a complete nut about. Allow me to begin my tale of towels by showing you a picture of my previous two generations of bath towels and my new towels which just arrived today.

Ikaruga

After what is perhaps years of dawdling I finally picked up Ikaruga for the GameCube today. When it first came out I saw that it was an innovative space shooter. And I love space shooters. But I wasn’t going to pay full video game price for a space shooter with so few levels. So I waited until the price dropped. Well as it goes every time I was in a video game buying mood Ikaruga either didn’t show its face, or I had something better to buy. Ubuntu Linux

My Linux history is long and varied. I started with failing to install Caldera, then successfully installing RedHat in 1999/2000. Then in May 2k3 I switched up my whole computing situation. New computer, new distro, and windows was reduced to a Steam-machine. I settled on Gentoo, which I use to this day.

Custom Robo

So when I played Smash Bros. Melee I noticed some interesting characters in the figurines gallery. The description said it was from a game called Custom Robo. I soon learned it was a somewhat long running Japanese only Nintendo series of games where you build customized robots and fought them. I had to get this game.
